Champion was losing ground in the spark plug category (one they pretty much created a hundred years earlier). So they wanted to remind people that Champion was the only brand for high-performance engines, and performance doesn’t much higher than NASCAR. So we enlisted the help of Kevin Harvick (now Sprint Cup Champion – talk about picking a winner) to promote an online contest, to find the next great racing champion.
